Miriam Troostwyk Oral History Description An account of the resource An interview with Miriam Troostwyk, a Holocaust survivor, conducted by Dr. Sidney Bolkosky, Professor of History at the University of Michigan--Dearborn. This is a continuation of an interview started on May 20, 1998. Miriam continues to tell how other family members and friends helped the family, consisting of Miriam, who was about 11 years old, her mother, an older sister and her sister's husband, evade several German rounds-ups until the family went into hiding, first in Velp and later in Arnhem. In Arnhem the family stayed in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Vandenberg with several other families.
